Brookline Teen Center

This adaptive reuse of a portion of an existing garage space was completed for Kaplan Corporation. The design team, led by GMI Architects, relied on participation from local teenagers to identify aspects that they would like to see included. The industrial look was further carried by use of stacked baltic birch in the creation millwork items. Corrugated metal decking at the desk also helped achieve this look. The finish product is an ecclectic, vibrant functional space that has been well received by the local community.
